My top Christmas gift recommendations for kids, 2022 edition!
Hey, y’all! I gotta some great gift ideas for the littles in your lives that will surely inspire them to learn, grow, explore, express and of course, play.
** This post is sponsored by Babbleboxx, however, all opinions are my own.
Clixo – Easy to use STEAM toy for all ages.
If ever there was a cure for boring kids’ gifts, Clixo is it! This modern, multicolored and flexible building block set is fun, encourages personal expression and nurtures curiosity.
If they can dream it, they can build it! There are so many of creative and challenging ways to build and play with Clixo!
Our son decided to snap the magnetized pieces together to build a 3D beyblade-inspired spinning tool. Meanwhile, our little girl opted to created all types of flowers and bracelets.
The possibilities are endless. A big plus is how well they travel; they are light, compact and great on the go!

Real Littles – Perfect stocking stuffers
If I’m being honest, my daughter never met a toy she didn’t like. However, she absolutely gravitates to all things mini — she carries them around in her little purse, arranges them inside her doll house, displays them on her shelf, you name it!
Needless to say, these Real Littles miniaturized replicas of some of her favorite things are a big hit! She can spend hours and hours playing with them.
She’s totally loving the Real Littles Cutie Carries (that actually work) complete with fashions and six different puppies to collect.
She enjoys writing in and reading her Real Littles Journals — something about that lock and key and all the cute accessories makes her feel like a little grown up.
The Real Littles Backpacks are also great with real mini collectible stationary goodies and that clip to attach to her little purse.
If your daughter is anything like mine, these micro toys are a sure buy for Christmas!
A Very Mercy Christmas – A heartwarming story about kindness
My children love to read and nothing warms my heart more than to see my nine-year-old reading to his little sister and the way she gazes so intently at him!
Aside from its beautiful illustrations, great-story telling and familiarity (readers of the previous Mercy Watson books will delight in seeing their favorite porcine character and many others), I particularly love that this book celebrates community and focuses on being kind to one another. It’s something we strive to teach our littles daily so we appreciate the reinforcement.
If your children enjoy reading, I highly recommend A Very Mercy Christmas from Candlewick Press by NY Times bestselling author, Kate DiCamillo, and illustrator, Chris Van Dusen.
TOMY Pop Up Pirate – Fun for the whole family!
Ahoy, mate! Pop Up Pirate is that fun game the whole family can enjoy and it’s not overly complicated. Everyone takes a turn, makes their best guess, and hope that pirate doesn’t pop up!
I love watching the kids on the floor giggling and interacting. And when my husband joins them, the giggles turn into a roaring laugher! It’s a great bonding experience.
This is also one of those gifts that travels well. We’ve taken it to the beach with us and on vacation and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.
Monster Treads Lightning Wheels Transformers – Optimus Prime
If you have a little car enthusiast in your life, this is a must-have. Jacob took one look at the wheels and he was stoked. You see, he’s been collecting all thing Transformers since he was three — Optimus Prime being his favorite, of course.
Thankfully this Monster Treads Optimus Prime Lightning Wheels came with batteries and was ready to go.
Even I have to admit it’s pretty cool. From the big light-up wheels, to the flashing lights, it’s pretty impressive… and sturdy! It’s already taken a few laps on the garage floor, our deck and the backyard.
St. Jude – give the gift of compassion
Cancer sucks! There’s no sugarcoating it. Thankfully, places like St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital® exist and are making things better, leading the way in treating and defeating childhood cancer and other life-threatening diseases.
We have candid conversations with our kids about many things. Placing that beautiful hand blown glass ornament, which was inspired by artwork from St. Jude patients, on our tree serves a reminder to our whole family to consider others, to be generous and to show our support by sharing our blessings.
The metal lapel pins were a big inspiration; the kids wore them to school so they could tell their friends about the kids of St. Jude..
At St. Jude, families never receive a bill from for treatment, travel, housing or food—so they can focus on helping their child live. So if the spirit moves you, purchase any of these items to benefit the kids at St. Jude!
Stride Rite – ultimate style and durability
For more than 100 years, Stride Rite has been designing innovative children’s footwear. Their focus isn’t solely on trends but also the latest knowledge behind healthy foot development.
After browsing all their beautiful options on Stride Rite, my daughter and I decided on the Holly Mary Jane. They’re even prettier in person with their classic silhouette and updated 3D flower accents.
And they’re comfortable too with their cushy Ortholite® memory foam insoles. My little diva couldn’t wait to match Holly Mary Jane with her outfit and show these off to her little friends at school.
