One Room Challenge Week 6 – Who knew one could fall in love with a dishwasher?!

My kitchen edit for One Room Challenge (hosted by Apartment Therapy) continues this week with the installation of this beautiful and high-performing dishwasher from Thor Kitchen!
What impressed me, right off the bat!

Adjustable upper rack can be moved to accommodate larger dishes and stemware on the bottom and a third rack is available for larger utensils

Smart Wash System
Uses a soil sensor to determine how dirty the dishes are and adjusts the Normal cycle as needed to make sure dishes come out clean. HELLO?
Fingerprint Resistant
I have little ones so this was KEY! It resists fingerprints and smudges and easily wipes clean
Water & Energy Efficient
With as much washing as we do, we appreciate the multiple filtration system which offers optimal performance while using less water and energy
Top 3 Reasons To Use a Dishwasher
Here three benefits to using an efficient dishwasher like my Thor. model number HDW2401SS, over daily hand washing:
Dishwashers are more hygienic.
Old sponges are hotbeds for E.coli and other food- poisoning bacteria. Unlike hand washing, a dishwasher kills germs with heated water that can reach up to 70°C.
Dishwashers save water and energy. Studies show that hand washing uses 5 times more water than an efficient dishwasher. And that’s excluding the the energy used to heat the hot water.
Dishwashers use less detergent. Compared with hand washing, dishwashers use portion-controlled detergent so you use just the right amount. And no need to pre-rinse, just scrape off the food before loading.
